Maria Carlotta, the first organic wine on the market from Tenute di Fraternita is dedicated to the wife of Count Occhini of Castiglion Fibocchi, who passed away prematurely in the 1960s. The label was created by the Japanese artist Noriko Hirokami who, starting from the logo of Tenute di Fraternita, created this representation in a modern key. Produced entirely with Sangiovese grapes, hand-harvested with an early harvest to enhance its freshness. During fermentation the skins are immediately separated, so as to obtain a pale color tending towards onion skin, typical of Sangiovese. The fermentations are spontaneous with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature. After the passage in steel, the wine finishes its refinement in the bottle.
